Reopening Policies

Climb on.

The safety of our staff, members, and guests is our #1 priority. As we prepare to reopen, we are proceeding with an abundance of caution. We are taking additional safety measures beyond what is required by local authorities to ensure the health of our community. As we learn more, we’ll be fine-tuning our practices. You can always check back here to find the latest.

Below you will find what we expect from both our staff as well as from our customers while visiting our facility.

Triangle Rock Club – Richmond

Updated 7/1/20 based on confirmed RVA regulations. Protocols are subject to changes from local and state health guidelines.

We are now open to the general public.

Operational Changes

Rental Equipment
  • All rental shoes will be sanitized with a hospital grade disinfectant spray that eliminates 99.9% of viruses after each use.
  • We will be separating our rental harnesses into three groups that are rotated to be in use every 72 hours.
  • We highly encourage all visitors to bring their own harness, shoes, and belay devices if needed.
  • We will not have lead ropes available for use at this time.

Routesetting Changes

Fitness & Yoga Changes
  • Fitness equipment will be separated or marked unavailable to allow for social distancing.
  • Indoor fitness and yoga classes are coming soon. When they are available again, class size will be reduced. Fitness and yoga classes will be designed to maintain social distancing and not require sharing of equipment. Participants are required to bring their own mats, blocks and straps for yoga and fitness classes.
  • Indoor fitness and yoga class participants will be required to make a reservation in the time block in which their class takes place. Class spots will be reserved upon check in and are first-come first-serve. If a participant is not in class five minutes prior to the start of class, their spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist.
  • If you’d like to purchase a punch card for an outdoor bootcamp, please explore those options here.

Cleaning Supplies

Youth Programs
  • We are working on guidelines for resuming our Youth Programs. More information will be coming as the state announces the next phased opening.
  • Before we re-instate our Youth Programs, we will provide a more comprehensive and finalized list of the policies and procedures.
