Our Training for Climbing is a series training class designed for climbers to improve their on-sight and red-point ability through structured workouts.
Each four-week series focuses on training techniques specific to bouldering or top roping and pairs wall-based climbing workouts with strength training to encourage power, endurance, body control, and mental focus. Each series will be taught by a TRC Climbing Instructor and a TRC Fitness Instructor.
Training for Climbing is geared toward climbers at a V3 or 5.10 level.

Join TRC Climbing Instructor Paul Klem in the mornings and Josh Stevens in the evening for our next 4-week Training for Climbing series, taking place at TRC Morrisville. Participants will develop skills to improve their on-sight and red-point rope climbing ability via targeted climbing workouts and fitness programming. Participants should recognize an increase in overall fitness with an emphasis on power-endurance either in the class or while utilizing the skills they have honed during the 4-week session.
Dates (Choose Between Morning Sessions or Evening Sessions):
Mornings: Begins January 9th, reoccurs for 4-weeks on Tuesday & Thursday mornings
Evenings: Begins February 6th, reoccurs for 4-weeks on Tuesday & Thursday mornings
Mornings: 5:45 AM – 7:45 AM
Evenings: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Prerequisites: Must have taken TRC’s Progressions class and must be personally able to on-sight 5.9+ on a regular basis
