Paul is a Tarheel-native and has been a Triangle resident for nearly 20 years. After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Psychology, he spent about 10 years working in clinical research project and operations management. Rediscovering climbing as an adult initially to destress from the work-week, he found that the physical and mental challenge combined with the opportunity to meet other people engaged in an active lifestyle would become more than a hobby for him. Paul spent time as our Lead Instructor and Programs Manager in Morrisville prior to becoming Club Director at TRC-Raleigh; over his time working with TRC he has instructed our entire catalog of climbing courses and clinics, worked with TRC Campers during Track Out and Summer Camps, and organized a number of our successful Member Meetups. When Paul is not at the gym, you’ll probably find him underneath a boulder in Hanging Rock State Park or doing yoga with his multi-talented wife, Mercedes, and (adorable) daughter, Lia. Email Paul
Raised in the Triangle, Brenna is no stranger the area. She originally found climbing in college, at the ECU Eakin Student Recreation Center. She began working as Floor Staff at TRC-Morrisville in 2018, where she later served as Camp Staff and as a Climbing Instructor. She has a passion for youth development and community outreach (cultivated by time in the 4-H system), so the Programs Manager position is a natural fit. Outside of TRC, Brenna owns a small sewing business and loves to read.Email Brenna
Eric moved to the Triangle from Richmond, VA, in 2012. He discovered his love for climbing here, and he joined the Triangle Rock Club team in 2015. Morgan grew up near Boone, NC. He moved to Raleigh to attend NC State, where he started climbing in 2011..though he realizes that most people move to mountains to start climbing, not the other way around! In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, biking, and playing soccer. An Eagle Scout through and through, Morgan is always prepared to take on whatever challenges come up at Triangle Rock Club!
Andrew is a former Force Recon Marine who has spent his life in pursuit of adventure both in the military and in the mountains. As the visionary and Founding Partner to Triangle Rock Club, he now focuses his passion for adventure in the business world. Husband to the amazing Caroline and a dedicated family man, Andrew has never been known to settle for a halfway effort or going small. This is no more clearly demonstrated than by his role as a father of five young kids (four boys and a girl)! When he’s not in the office or wrestling his kids he’ll most likely be found cycling, climbing or dreaming up the next adventure.
