Camp Coordinator (Full-Time, Hourly)
TRC’s Camp Coordinator is directly involved and responsible for the fulfillment and execution of all TRC Climbing Camps. The Camp Coordinator is a support role under the Programs Manger and must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience for all guests, with an emphasis on campers and their families.
The Camp Coordinator will: oversee program and curriculum development; meet sales and marketing goals; be responsible for the creation of new community relationships and the education of TRC camps, products, and services to new and returning customers; continue growing camp revenue.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to –
  • Improving sales and marketing efforts
  • Execution of all TRC Track Out and Summer Camp programs
    • Ensure that the camp goal and philosophy are realized in every camp
    • Building relationships with camp parents through intentional interactions and outreach
    • Oversee camp staff: communicate daily schedule, professional development, and delegation of tasks Actively engage with counselors and campers during camp hours, ensuring that camp is running smoothly
    • Continually develop camp curriculum, long term camp goals, and staff training
  • Any and all tasks as requested by Programs Manager, Club Director, or other Management Staff
  • Assist with Front Desk operations as needed (in lieu of Floor Staff)

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years’ experience in youth camp programming. BA in Recreation, Outdoor Recreation Management, Education or equivalent in experience is preferred.
  • Extensive background in customer service and customer facing roles.
  • Extensive background in teaching youth (preferably in a camp or classroom context).
  • Demonstrated passion for the sport of climbing.

Floor Staff (Part-Time, Year-Round)
We love our team of Floor Staff and are hiring more amazing employees! We’re looking for applicants who have a demonstrated passion for climbing and genuine desire to work in a team environment. Top candidates are those who are warm & welcoming, friendly, proactive, critical thinkers, personal responsibility and have a high attention to detail. Experience:
  • First Aid/CPR certified preferred;
  • An understanding of gym etiquette, facility rules, and belay safety required; belay certification preferred (but not required!)
  • Lead belay and climbing experience preferred;
  • Multiple consistent check-ins since initial first visit required
Time Commitment:
  • Must be fully available to work at least two shifts per week
  • Must be fully available to work at least one shift per weekend
  • Must commit to a minimum employment of six months, nine months preferred
  • Must be able to attend all Mandatory Staff meetings which may include off-hours

Climbing Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Around)
TRC offers a suite of great climbing classes and we’re looking to add to our team of Instructors! We’re hiring applicants who have a demonstrated passion for climbing and genuine desire to working with user groups including first time customers and beginner climbers. Top candidates are those who are warm & welcoming, self-directed, proactive, and have experience instructing small groups. Experience:
  • First Aid/CPR certified preferred;
  • Top rope belay and climbing experience required;
  • Lead belay and climbing experience required;
  • CWI certificated preferred;
  • Multiple consistent check-ins since initial first visit required
Time Commitment:

Assistant Facilities Manager (Full-Time, Hourly, Year-Round)
We are looking to add another Full-Time staff to our team of Facilities Managers. Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Facilities Manager include:
    • Perform recurring maintenance tasks to ensure that normal facility maintenance is taken care of in a timely manner and to reduce equipment downtime.
    • Troubleshoot issues with facility plumbing, electrical, etc. as needed,
    • Provide active and on-going risk management efforts by upholding maintenance schedules and inspection logs. Work to cultivate gym etiquette consistent with stated policies and procedures.
We are looking for candidates who:
    • Preferred two years working in facility maintenance and upkeep, and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve maintenance-related issues.
    • Experience with and working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and similar shop tools.
    • Daytime, weekday availability preferred.
    • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills. Must work well as part of a team.
    • Must be able to work at all three Triangle locations on a rotating basis.

Route Setter (Full-Time, Hourly, Year-Round)
We are looking to add to our team of Route Setters. Route Setters directly facilitate Triangle Rock Club’s Mission Statement by creating routes and boulder problems that are accessible to all ages and experience levels. Route Setter duties and responsibilities include:
        • Ability to set and forerun, at minimum, V8 and 5.13 routes commercially.
        • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Daytime, weekday available required. Route Setter workdays typically run from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. Must be able to work at all three Triangle locations on a rotating basis.

Group Exercise Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Round)
TRC’s Fitness department is looking to bring on some more instructors! Our Group Exercise Instructors are directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Strength and Conditioning, HIIT Intervals, Plyometrics, Functional Strength Training, Core, and Mobility. Instructors must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to TRC members and guests through their fitness programming. We're looking for applicants who would be interested in working in an on-going / part-time capacity and can commit to at least 6-8 months of employment.
We are looking for candidates who:
  • Can lead 2 or more of the following style classes – HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Core and or Mobility
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  • Create a personal connection and relationship with students
  • Holds a Primary Group Exercise Certification - ACE, AFAA or similar nationally accredited certification requiured
  • Personal trainer certified preffered
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • 1+ years' experience and actively teaching
  • Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2-4 classes per week
  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Program

Yoga Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Round)
    TRC's Fitness department is looking to bring on some more instructors! Our Yoga Instructors are directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Foundational Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Restore, VinYin, Yoga4Climbers and Slow Flow Yoga. Instructors must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to the TRC members and guests relative through their programming. We're looking for applicants who would be interested in working in an on-going / part-time capacity and can commit to at  least 6-8 months of employment.
We are looking for candidates who:
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class

  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Programs

Team TRC Coach (Part-Time, Year-Round)
Love climbing, stoked to mentor upcoming generations of crushers, and interested in competitive aspects of the sport? We’re looking to fill a handful of spots on our Coaching Staff!
Shifts Available:
  • Weekday afternoons.
  • Occasional Sunday evenings and weekend competition travel (paid).

Requirements/Preferred Experience:
  • Demonstrated passion for climbing and desire to share that with others.
  • Prior experience in competition climbing as a participant or Coach role.
  • Background in customer service or any customer-facing role.
