Yoga & Pilates

Yoga and Pilates work to increase your overall flexibility using a variety of movements, poses and stretches while simultaneously working to improve your overall strength, focus, balance, endurance and breathing. If you’re hoping to take your climbing abilities up a notch (or more!), TRC’s Yoga & Pilates classes are a great place to start!


 

YOGA & PILATES CLASSES

CLASS LEVELS:

• Beginner Friendly:  For those who are just starting out on their fitness journeys, or those looking to take the day a bit easier
■ Intermediate
If you work out and/or climb several times a week and are looking to challenge yourself, our intermediate-level classes are a great choice!
▴ Advanced:  
Not for newbies!  Our advanced classes are crucial for conditioning your body & helping you reach new heights in both climbing & your journey toward an adventure-fueled lifestyle.

FOUNDATIONAL YOGA     |      Beginner Friendly    |    60 Minutes

In TRC’s Foundational Yoga, we use “asanas”, breathing techniques and meditation with the goal of bringing each participant a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.  Each class offers variety of yoga techniques and moves that center around improved physical and mental health and an achievement of “oneness”. This class is great for beginners or anyone wishing to build their practice or reconnect with the foundations of yoga!

PILATES    |   Beginner Friendly    |    60 Minutes
Pilates is a mind-body practice focused on strengthening your core muscles and gaining flexibility. This class is targeted toward those who have little-to-none Pilates experience. The class will begin with lying down and move to standing exercises.

PILATES FOR CLIMBERS   |   ■ Intermediate – Advanced   |   60 Min.
For 60+ years Pilates has proven itself as a superior method of cross training for athletes. Not only does Pilates make tall moves, high steps, and rock-overs easier, it improves your core strength and balance. We will focus on more challenging moves for the core and upper body, specific for exercises, without leaving out any of the stretching.

POWER YOGA   |    ▴Advanced      |     60 Minutes  | Check out the Video!
An Ashtanga inspired practice follows the same series of poses and makes you hold each for five breaths before moving through a Vinyasa. This class will include building internal heat, increased stamina, strength and flexibility, as well as stress reduction.  Plan to move quickly, get your sweat on and learn to lift your body weight more effectively!

RESTORE YOGA |    All Levels Welcome       |     60 Minutes
Our Restore Yoga classes put an emphasis on the centering of your breath and body. Throughout each class, we work on aligning physical and mental well-being by practicing stillness and/or gentle movement for extended periods of time. This class includes dynamic and passive stretching with the incorporation of props.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA     |   ■ Intermediate      |    60 Minutes
With a focus on syncing breath and movement for flow from one pose to the next, our Vinyasa Flow yoga classes build your strength and balance helping you move toward peak poses. As an Intermediate level class, we encourage participants to be well acquainted with all foundational yoga movements and poses prior to participating.
