Answer: No, memberships are not required. We offer a number of different day pass options as well as gear rentals. You must fill out a waiver in order to participate in any activities in our facility. NOTE: Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. E-sign a waiver now.
Answer: Belaying is a critical part of the climbing system and one we teach in our Introduction to Climbing course! Not sure how to belay? Sign up for our Introduction to Climbing class and learn from one of our qualified instructors! If you already know how to belay, just come in and perform a belay check with a staff member. That will give you access to top roping within the gym. When you advance to Lead Climbing, you will need to participate in the Lead Climbing check. We will not charge for the administration of a belay or lead climbing check. To pass the TRC belay check, the belayer must demonstrate these skills (unassisted):
Answer: If you are bouldering, all you need is a pair of climbing shoes and a chalk bag. If top-roping or lead climbing, you will need a climbing harness, climbing shoes, chalk bag, and a belay device with locking carabiner. You are welcome to bring your own gear, or you can rent any of these items from our front desk. For your convenience, we also stock a variety of these items in our Gear Shop for purchase.
Answer: The minimum age is 4, and the child must fit securely in the child full body harness.
Answer: All participants must sign a liability release waiver. If participant is not yet 18, a parent or court-appointed legal guardian must fill out a minor’s waiver before being allowed to participate. E-sign a waiver now.
