Assistant Facilities Manager – Morrisville & Raleigh Locations (Part-Time with potential for Full-time, Year-Round)
Assistant Facilities Manager – Morrisville & Raleigh Locations
  • Level: Part-time with potential for Full-time
  • Pay: Commensurate with experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform recurring maintenance tasks to ensure that normal facility maintenance is taken care of in a timely manner and to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshoot issues with facility plumbing, electrical, etc. as needed,
  • Collaborate with Facilities Manager and Club Director to determine facility needs including facility improvements, repairs, and maintenance of business assets.
  • Provide active and on-going risk management efforts by upholding maintenance schedules and inspection logs. Work to cultivate gym etiquette consistent with stated policies and procedures.
  • Any and all tasks as requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a demonstrated passion for climbing and fitness on a personal basis.
  • Preferred two years working in facility maintenance and upkeep, and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve maintenance-related issues.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and similar shop tools.
  • Open availability to meet facility needs and special events as needed.
  • Works proactively to build relationships within the climbing community and the public.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills. Must work well as part of a team.
  • Maintain a current CPR & First Aid certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Regularly standing up and walking for the duration of shift.
  • Regularly climbing and belaying and lead belaying in the facility.
  • Use of ladders up to heights of 25 feet and working at height.
  • Operating in a workshop environment and handling power tools.
  • Job requires lifting and exerting force up to 45 lbs on occasion.
  • Vision 20 inches or less is needed.
  • Periodic travel to all Triangle locations.

Camp Staff (Part-Time, Year-Round)
Our Track Out Camp Staff are the primary instructors for one of the leading Track Out camp programs in Wake County. This position is great for individuals with a passion for climbing and youth development. Our camp staff are responsible for facilitating climbing and non-climbing activities throughout the camp day, overseeing climbing time and ensuring all risk management procedures are closely adhered to, and engaging with participants and their families. Camp Instructors start at $9.50 p/ hour and considerable opportunity growth. Ideal candidates have previous experience in youth programming/ camp environments.
Shifts Available:
  • 8AM – 12PM, 9AM – 3PM, 12PM – 6PM on weekdays.
  • Instructors average around 14 – 20 hours p/ week

Event Belayers (Part-Time, Year-Round)
Our Event Belayers create phenomenal experiences for all groups from the beginning to the end of their visit. Group visit operations include group management, belaying, working in a team environment and more. Weekday shifts available between 9am – 4pm.

Climbing Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Round)
We’re currently looking for Climbing Instructors to assist with numerous introductory-level and advanced-level classes. Classes included Intro to Rope Climbing, Intro to Lead Climbing, Climbing Movement Fundamentals, and Advanced Climbing Movement Clinics. Our Instructor position offers a flexible schedule and is a great way to get plugged into the broader TRC community. Requirements/Preferred Experience: Active climber that is well versed in all forms of indoor climbing (e.g.: bouldering and ropes) Previous experience in teaching, instruction, or public speaking CWA CWI Certified preferred To Apply: Submit resume and references to Club Director Hannah Aamot at hannah@trianglerockclub.com. Group Exercise Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Round)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    TRC’s Group Exercise Instructor is directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Strength and Conditioning, HIIT Intervals, Plyometrics, Functional Strength Training, Core, and Mobility. The Group Exercise Instructor position is under the Fitness Department and he/she must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to the TRC community, members and guests relative to fitness classes.
Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Provide a phenomenal customer experience for the community, giving priority to risk management, guest/member engagement, facility rules and gym etiquette
  • Ability to lead 2 or more of the following style classes – HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Core and or Mobility
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  • Create a personal connection and relationship with students
  • Set up studio appropriately: music, equipment, etc.
  • Provide excellent instruction that is consistent with the class format and TRC Philosophy
  • Attentively listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes
  • Clean studio space and all equipment
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Primary Group Exercise Certification – ACE, AFAA or similar nationally accredited certification required
  • Personal trainer certified preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • 1+ years’ experience and actively teaching
  • Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2-4 classes per week
  • Outgoing personality with a strong ability to connect with guests and members
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Programs

Yoga Instructor (Part-Time, Year-Round)

Classes include, but are not limited to: Foundational Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Restore, VinYin, Yoga4Climbers and Slow Flow Yoga. The Yoga Instructor position is under the Fitness Department and he/she must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to the TRC community, members and guests relative to fitness classes.
Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Provide a phenomenal customer experience for the community, giving priority to risk management, guest/member engagement, facility rules and gym etiquette
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Effectively discusses and explains different forms of Yoga
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
  • Create a personal connection and relationship with students
  • Set up studio appropriately: music, equipment, etc.
  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  • Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed
  • Provide excellent instruction that is consistent with the class format and TRC Philosophy
  • Attentively listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes
  • Cleans and organizes the studio after each class
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor – 200 hour level (RYT-200) minimum required
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • 1+ years’ experience and actively teaching
  • Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2 classes per week
  • Outgoing personality with a strong ability to connect with guests and members
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Programs

Team TRC Coach (Part-Time, Year-Round)
Love climbing, stoked to mentor upcoming generations of crushers, and interested in competitive aspects of the sport? We’re looking to fill a handful of spots on our Coaching Staff at all Triangle-area locations.
Shifts Available:
  • Weekday afternoons.
  • Occasional Sunday evenings and weekend competition travel (paid).

Requirements/Preferred Experience:
  • Demonstrated passion for climbing and desire to share that with others.
  • Prior experience in competition climbing as a participant or Coach role.
  • Background in customer service or any customer-facing role.
