Floor Staff (Part-Time)
Love climbing and working with others? We are looking to add to our crew of Floor Staff members. Requirements/Preferred Experience: 
  • Background in customer service and/or customer-facing roles
  • Passion for climbing and sharing that passion with others

  • Weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings

First Ascents Staff (Part-Time; Shift Available: Afternoon/Evenings)
Passionate about climbing and adventure and looking to share that passion with a younger generation? We are looking for staff who are interested in working our youth climbing program, First Ascents, with availability in the evenings from 4-6 Monday-Thursday on an ongoing basis.  Experience with kids preferred, passion for teaching others about climbing a must. Requirements/Preferred Experience: 
  • Background in customer service and/or customer facing roles
  • Passion for climbing and sharing that passion with others

Camp Staff (Part-Time; Year-Round; Shifts Available: Weekday Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends)
Love climbing, working with kids and are hoping to share your passion for the sport with a younger generation? We’re looking to fill several school-year Track Out Camp Staff positions at our Morrisville facility!

Requirements/Preferred Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Experience in Youth Programming
• Background in customer service and/or customer-facing roles
• Must be available during daytime hours.

Event Belayers (Part-Time, Year-Round)
We’re currently looking for Event Belayers to assist during parties, team building visits, private events and more. Our Event Belayer position offers flexibility and is a great way to get involved with the TRC staff. Requirements/Preferred Experience:

Lead Climbing Coach
Duties and Responsibilities To transform and enhance the lives of others by enthusiastically sharing our passion for climbing and fitness. TRC’s Lead Climbing Coach is directly involved and responsible for managing practices for Intermediate/Advanced/Crew teams in Raleigh and must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience for all team members. The Lead Raleigh Coach will: oversee program and curriculum development; and be responsible for the education of team climbers, participation in a monthly Raleigh Team audit and the continued growth of Team TRC.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to –
  • Will be responsible for planning and fulfilling TRC Raleigh practices and crew meetings; to include: Staff preparation for practice; Group management of team climbers; Parent communication
  • Will be able to assist the TRC Head Coach in curriculum development, staff training, team communications and the monthly TRC Team Audit
  • Will be responsible for monitoring and managing the use of Climb equipment and fitness equipment
  • Maintain an understanding of training methods for climbing and equipment used to train for climbing through specific movement and non-specific fundamental movements.
  • Responsible for all USA Climbing rules and regulations including the Parent Handbook
  • Must have the ability to attend two locals and all six championship events during the year.
  • Have the ability to lead weekly coach meetings for Raleigh Team TRC
  • Will be responsible for planning and organizing team philanthropy, social, and training events
  • Must come to practice with an enthusiastic, professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Understand the three values of Team TRC: Support Each Other, Learn from Others and Welcome the Challenge
  • Must attend the yearly coaching development workshop
  • Should understand the concept of coaching with Questions not Answers
Requirements & Preferred Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years’ experience in youth programming. BA in Sports Science or Exercise Physiology, Outdoor Recreation Management, or NSCA Certification is preferred.
  • Extensive background in coaching youth, preferably in a youth competitive sport environment
  • Should be able to comfortably coach climbers with varied experience and skill levels
  • Demonstrated passion for the sport of climbing.
  • NSCA Certification preferred
  • CPR/AED required
  • 1-year commitment to Triangle Rock Club

Junior Climbing Coach

The Junior Coach will be responsible for the education of team climbers, and the continued growth of Team TRC.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to –
  • Should have a general understanding of training methods for climbing and equipment used to train for climbing through specific movement and non-specific fundamental movements.
  • Responsible for all USA Climbing rules and regulations including the Parent Handbook
  • Must have the ability to attend two locals and both Regional Championships each year
  • Must attend a yearly coaching development workshop
  • Must come to practice with an enthusiastic, professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Understand the three values of Team TRC: Support Each Other, Learn from Others and Welcome the Challenge
  • Should understand the concept of coaching with Questions not Answers
Requirements & Preferred Experience

Group Exercise Instructor (Part-Time)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    TRC’s Group Exercise Instructor is directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Strength and Conditioning, HIIT Intervals, Plyometrics, Functional Strength Training, Core, and Mobility. The Group Exercise Instructor position is under the Fitness Department and he/she must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to the TRC community, members and guests relative to fitness classes.
Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Provide a phenomenal customer experience for the community, giving priority to risk management, guest/member engagement, facility rules and gym etiquette
  • Ability to lead 2 or more of the following style classes – HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Core and or Mobility
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  • Create a personal connection and relationship with students
  • Set up studio appropriately: music, equipment, etc.
  • Provide excellent instruction that is consistent with the class format and TRC Philosophy
  • Attentively listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes
  • Clean studio space and all equipment
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Primary Group Exercise Certification – ACE, AFAA or similar nationally accredited certification required
  • Personal trainer certified preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • 1+ years’ experience and actively teaching
  • Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2-4 classes per week
  • Outgoing personality with a strong ability to connect with guests and members
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Programs

Yoga Instructor (Part-Time)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    TRC’s Yoga Instructor is directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Foundational Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Restore, VinYin, Yoga4Climbers and Slow Flow Yoga. The Yoga Instructor position is under the Fitness Department and he/she must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to the TRC community, members and guests relative to fitness classes.
Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Provide a phenomenal customer experience for the community, giving priority to risk management, guest/member engagement, facility rules and gym etiquette
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Effectively discusses and explains different forms of Yoga
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
  • Create a personal connection and relationship with students

  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  • Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed

  • Cleans and organizes the studio after each class
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor – 200 hour level (RYT-200) minimum required
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • 1+ years’ experience and actively teaching
  • Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2 classes per week
  • Outgoing personality with a strong ability to connect with guests and members
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
  • Have a strong desire to help grow the TRC Fitness Programs
