The First Ascents Coordinator is directly responsible for the execution of TRC’s First Ascents Program. In this part-time position, the First Ascents Coordinator serves the participants and their families as both an administrator and a staff member of the program and works closely with the Programs Manager in order to ensure high program quality.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Enforcing risk management and safety protocols
- Administering TRC climbing orientation and rules to new climbers
- Ensuring a positive experience for all participants
- Developing relationships with First Ascents families and participants
- Facilitating both structured and non-structured climbing times
- Regular meetings with the Programs Manager
- Maintaining First Ascents material inventories
- Administrative duties, such as checking paperwork and collecting payment
- Maintaining the First Ascents rosters
- Facilitating and tracking participants’ progress through the Seven Summits Program
- Assisting with keeping First Ascents instructors productive and engaged
- Regularly updating the program curriculum

TRC’s Fitness department is looking to bring on some more instructors! Our Group Exercise Instructors are directly involved and responsible for providing safe, effective and fun exercises to groups participating in classes/activities. Classes include, but are not limited to: Strength and Conditioning, HIIT Intervals, Plyometrics, Functional Strength Training, Core, and Mobility. Instructors must have a constant awareness for risk management and delivering a phenomenal customer service experience to TRC members and guests through their fitness programming. We're looking for applicants who would be interested in working in an on-going / part-time capacity and can commit to at least 6-8 months of employment.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Can lead 2 or more of the following style classes – HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Core and or Mobility
- Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class
- Must be able to teach to all levels and provide movement modifications when needed
- Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to TRC Standards and Policies
- Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
- Create a personal connection and relationship with students
- Holds a Primary Group Exercise Certification - ACE, AFAA or similar nationally accredited certification requiured
- Personal trainer certified preffered
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
- 1+ years' experience and actively teaching
- Willing and available to teach a minimum of 2-4 classes per week
