Have a fantastic first-time climbing experience at TRC by learning how to top rope belay!
Learn to top rope belay at TRC! Our ‘Intro to Rope Climbing’ class is specifically designed for people with little or no climbing experience. In this class, you will acquire the necessary skills to top rope climb and belay in our gyms. The lesson includes a tutorial on proper top rope belay techniques, as well as an overview of the correct use of climbing equipment for belaying. Additionally, participants will receive a two-week pass with complimentary rental gear upon class purchase.
Our ‘Intro to Bouldering’ class is specifically designed for individuals who are new to this discipline of rock climbing. During this class, you will learn about bouldering grades, falling techniques, basic movement and footwork techniques, and the various types of climbing holds. If you’re new to bouldering, this class will provide a solid foundation to begin your journey with this style of climbing. Even if you don’t plan on bouldering in the gym, this class will still be educational for all climbers on climbing move basics.
Our Bouldering Practice Sessions picks up where Intro to Bouldering leaves off. This one-hour clinic provides a supportive learning environment and a deeper dive into bouldering techniques and allows you to build upon the skills you worked on in your previous sessions. Whether you’re a V0 climber or V8 Climber this clinic is for you!
