Intro to Bouldering

@ Triangle Rock Club – Durham

This one-hour clinic provides a broader overview of basic climbing concepts and an introduction to bouldering. Participants learn about climbing grades, shoe technology, basic movement techniques, and bouldering/spotting safety. Class scheduling/offering is subject to change due to facility demands/constraints. Reservations are required and payment in full is required at the time of registration.

Intro to Rope Climbing

@ Triangle Rock Club – Durham

The one-hour course is the perfect place to teach you the basics of climbing and helps you ‘learn the ropes’ with a comprehensive introduction to belaying technique that can be used to climb at Triangle Rock Club. Our lesson includes a tutorial on proper top rope belay technique and how to properly use climbing equipment. This class will give you all the tools you’ll need to take the Top Rope Belay Check! All equipment is provided, and participants receive a one-week pass with free rental gear.

Reservations are required and these classes fill up quickly, so be sure to sign up soon. Payment in full is required at the time of registration.

Women’s Bouldering Series

@ Triangle Rock Club – Durham

Are you looking to learn how to advance your bouldering technique and grade in a friendly all-female environment? Then consider the Women’s Bouldering Series – Foundations! This clinic will cover the foundations of bouldering for the new to intermediate boulderer. Our instructor will lead you through movement and technique focused drills and exercises to improve your confidence and proficiency on the wall. This series will lay a foundation to help you increase your climbing grade and feel more confident while trying new bouldering problems.

HIIT the Wall!

@ Triangle Rock Club – Durham

Have you taken Intro to Rope Climbing, but would like to further develop your climbing technique while getting a high-intensity workout? Then consider HIIT the Wall! as a great next step! This class will lead you through foundational strength drills and high-intensity cardio drills on the wall for the new to intermediate top-rope climber. Our instructor will lead you through Movement- and Technique-focused drills and exercises to improve your confidence, endurance, and proficiency on the wall.
